TEHRAN: A spokesperson for Iran’s armed forces has claimed that the United States and Israel “have no option left except surrender,” asserting that Iran and its allies have demonstrated strong military and strategic superiority.
According to Iran’s National Security Council, all military operations across multiple fronts, including Lebanon, will be halted from tonight under a proposed ceasefire agreement. The council further stated that the naval blockade on Iran will be lifted immediately as part of the deal.
Officials added that the agreement has been reached under the framework approved by Iran’s Supreme Leader, with full public support claimed for the negotiation process. However, they emphasized that continued compliance by the opposing side is necessary for final talks to proceed.
Earlier, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi confirmed that Israel would be required to withdraw from southern Lebanon as part of the arrangement. He also said that the proposed “Islamabad Accord” would be signed in Switzerland on Friday, with follow-up negotiations expected within 60 days.
The full text of the memorandum of understanding will be released after signing, officials added.
