ISLAMABAD: The United States reaffirmed its deepening partnership with Pakistan as it marked the 250th anniversary of American independence at a reception in Islamabad.
Addressing the gathering, Chargé d’Affaires Natalie Baker praised the evolving strategic relationship between the two countries, describing it as “stronger than ever” and grounded in mutual respect and shared interests.
She thanked Prime Minister for attending the event and acknowledged the leadership of both Islamabad and Washington in strengthening bilateral cooperation. Baker also credited U.S. President for advancing a results-driven approach toward Pakistan.
Highlighting key developments, she noted Pakistan’s role in facilitating high-level diplomatic talks between the United States and Iran earlier this year, calling it a “remarkable moment” for regional diplomacy.
Baker emphasized growing collaboration in trade, security, and people-to-people ties, while also pointing to cultural exchanges and shared interests in sports, including Pakistan’s contribution to the FIFA World Cup 2026 through football manufacturing.
She said the partnership reflects a broader alignment of goals focused on peace, stability, and economic prosperity, adding that both nations are entering a new chapter of cooperation.
The event marked the lead-up to the United States’ Independence Day on July 4, celebrating 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
