Blast in Lakki Marwat Leaves Seven Dead, Dozens Injured

LAKKI MARWAT: At least seven people, including police personnel, were killed and more than 18 others injured in an explosion in the Sarai Naurang Bazaar area of Lakki Marwat, police and hospital officials said.

According to police, the blast occurred near the Naurang police station inside a rickshaw, causing panic in the busy market area. The bodies of the deceased were shifted to Naurang Hospital.

Hospital administration confirmed that two traffic police personnel were among those killed in the incident. Several of the injured include women and children, and they are being treated in emergency wards as the hospital has declared an emergency situation.

Rescue teams and law enforcement agencies rushed to the scene immediately after the explosion, cordoning off the area and launching an investigation into the nature of the blast.

Authorities have not yet confirmed whether the incident was a targeted attack or an accidental explosion, and further investigation is underway.
