ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Norway at their 12th round of political consultations have reaffirmed to further strengthen cooperation in investment, shipping, climate change, renewable energy resources and higher education.
At the discussions held in Islamabad on Wednesday, Pakistan was led by Ambassador Muhammad Saleem while the Norwegian side was represented by Director General Vebjorn Dysvik.
The two sides also reviewed progress made since their last meeting held in 2021.
Norway is a key investment partner of Pakistan and has expressed its desire to invest more in a number of sectors in the country.
The Norwegian delegation was briefed on the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) recently established by the government of Pakistan.
They were invited to explore investment prospects in renewable energy, higher education and mining sectors of Pakistan.
