ISLAMABAD: The National Command and Operations Center, in view of the improvement in the Corona situation, allowed the opening of educational institutions in the second phase, after which middle schools across the country, except Sindh, would be opened from tomorrow.
An important meeting of the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) was held in Islamabad under the chairmanship of Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar, in which education, interior ministers, special assistant for health, education secretary and other senior officials Authorities attended.
The meeting will take a detailed look at the overall situation of Corona virus in the country, especially after the opening of educational institutions in the first phase. In this regard, data from the Federal Ministry of Health and provincial departments were consulted. The Ministry of Education said in the briefing that SOPs are being strictly followed in the institutions opened in the first phase, while preparations and arrangements are complete for opening educational institutions in the second phase.
The National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) expressed satisfaction over the improvement in the situation in Malik Korona and the security arrangements made by the provincial departments and educational institutions in the first phase and allowed the opening of educational institutions in the second phase.
Teaching process for sixth to eighth grade students in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan will start from September 23. However, Sindh has decided not to open middle schools for the time being.
