ISLAMABAD: Disagreements between PML-N have come to the fore. Maryam Nawaz has expressed complete dissatisfaction with the meeting of Parliamentary leaders with Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa and said that the PML-N leaders including Shahbaz Sharif should not be considered as Nawaz Sharif’s representatives.

In response to a question from a journalist on the occasion of his appearance in the Islamabad High Court, PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz said that she and Nawaz Sharif should attend the dinner of the Army Chief and DG ISI. No representative of PML-N leader Mian Nawaz Sharif met the army, she replied.

It may be recalled that a few days ago, Parliamentary leaders of all political parties of the country met Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa and DG ISI Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed at a dinner in Islamabad in which Gilgit-Baltistan’s administrative and national security situation were duscussed. However, the names of Shahbaz Sharif, Khawaja Asif and Ahsan Iqbal were mentioned among the participants in the dinner.

Maryam Nawaz said that she has come to know that a meeting has been held regarding the issues of Gilgit-Baltistan. The first thing is that this is a political issue. The army should stay away from these issues and neither politicians nor politicians should be called. Should go for meeting at the call of Army Chief, political issues should be discussed in Parliament, not in GHQ.

The journalist questioned whether the PML-N leader’s harsh speech was also broadcast on the media through a video link. Has the PML-N reached a reconciliation with the government or will the arrests start after the APC? On this, Maryam Nawaz said that the tactics of oppression work to a certain extent, whether it is arrests or whatever they want, they will not back down from the decisions taken at the All Parties Conference of the Opposition.

Former Prime Minister’s daughter Maryam Nawaz said that the Prime Minister-elect was disqualified at the request of an advertiser. We did not raise this question earlier which should have been raised, she said.

Maryam said the court would have appeared within the limits of the police station where the advertiser was accused.

Regarding the health of PML-N leader Mian Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz said that the former prime minister has to undergo an operation but as long as he is in corona, the operation cannot take place as his immune system is weak and he is undergoing treatment with drugs.
