No fear of arrest, not afraid of going jail, Maryam Nawaz

Former Prime Minister’s daughter and PML-N vice president Maryam Nawaz said that she has already been jailed twice without any guilt and now there is no fear of being arrested for the third time.

Speaking to media in Jati Amra on the occasion of departure to attend Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) Multan rally, she said that the government has shown bullying and violence, the oppression inflicted on the workers is taking her to Multan. I am leaving my personal grief at home and going to share in the grief of the nation, Maryam added.

The PML-N vice-president further said that the police checkpoints and arrests were showing fear of the rulers. The rally in Multan has already been successful, while, the policemen are also fed up with this government, she said.

If difficult time has come on country, then the daughters have also come out of their homes, though, if we are at the forefront of this struggle, then the people of Multan should also come out, PMLN vice president said.

Maryam Nawaz said that corona SOPs are not being implemented anywhere in the country, corona virus is not spreading from government and Jamaat-e-Islami meetings, but all SOPs are for opposition. Maryam said that Covid 19 will have to go away, but Covid 18 (PTI government) must be removed.

She said anyone who comes to the finger of the umpire does not like to talk about such democracy, now it is the last few days of this government. Does anyone else doubt that the government itself will go? This government seems to be going home, she added further.

The PML-N leader said that arrests were being made in Multan to stop the Lahore rally but the rally would be held and it would be successful. Even if I was arrested, there would be no problem. I am not going to climb walls for fear of arrests, Maryam recalled that she has been jailed twice without any guilt, no fear of arrest for the third time.
