ISLAMABAD: At least 10 people lost their lives and seven others were injured in a road traffic accident near Fatehjhang town of Punjab on Monday morning.
The National Highways and Motorway Police said that a passenger bus going to Islamabad from Bahawalpur when it met with the accident on Motorway 14 near the town of Fatehjhand. The police said that the accident occured due to the negligence of the bus driver.
The motorway police and Rescue 1122 personnel reached the spot and shifted the dead bodies and the injured persons to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital of Fatehjhang.
The police said that some of the injured were in critical condition, adding that an investigation had been launched into the accident.
