Arrangements finalized, festive look on Eid Miladun Nabi

Religious leaders will highlight teachings of Prophet (peace be upon him) to promote peace and communal harmony in the country.  

ISLAMABAD: Country is wearing a festive look as arrangements have been finalized to celebrate the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) falling on the 12th day of the Islamic month of Rabiul Awal on Tuesday.   

The day will dawn with 31 gun salute at the federal capital and 21 gun salute in all provincial capitals.

Government departments and private committees across the country have made elaborate arrangements to observe the event. Buildings, malls and private houses and offices in all cities have been decorated with lights and buntings.

Moreover, processions will be taken out in all cities and towns for which elaborate security arrangements have been made by the local administrations and police. 

The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony said it will organize a national Seerat conference in Islamabad. Radio Pakistan, PTV and private media outlets  will broadcast proceedings of the conference live.

The faithful will hold processions and gatherings on Eid Miladun Nabi (peace be upon him) for which police have arranged stringent security arrangements. The processions will pass though their designated routes amid tight security.

Moreover, people have started preparing different food and sweet for distribution among the participants of the processions as well as their neighbors. Philanthropists also sponsor mass food preparations for distribution among the poor.

Religious leaders will also address large gatherings and highlight the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) to promote peace and communal harmony in the country.
