CAA Grants Air Operator Certificate to New Airline

KARACHI: The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has issued an Air Operator Certificate (AOC) to the new private airline, South Air, clearing the way for it to begin flight operations within the next few days.

The certificate was signed by CAA Director General Nadir Shafi Dar. The airline received support from both the Ministry of Defence and the CAA during the certification process.

According to the CAA chief, the authority remains committed to promoting the country’s aviation sector and facilitating the launch of new airlines.

South Air plans to operate flights to airports across Pakistan. The airline has already conducted successful test flights to the New Gwadar International Airport and Sukkur Airport, which were inspected by CAA officials as part of the certification process.
