Former AJK PM Tanveer Ilyas Resigns from PPP
ISLAMABAD: Former Azad Jammu and Kashmir prime minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas has resigned from the primary membership of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
According to sources, Ilyas submitted his resignation to PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, expressing dissatisfaction over what he described as the unfair distribution of party tickets in Azad Kashmir.
Sources said Ilyas was denied the party ticket for the Central Bagh constituency, prompting him to raise concerns with the party leadership.
He is currently consulting close political associates and is expected to hold a press conference soon to announce his future political course.
