ISLAMABAD: Gerry’s has joined hands with Sanjrani Oxen Enterprises to launch Gerry’s Diplomatic Football League in Islamabad in which 6 different teams are participating. Players are diplomats and local staff of various Embassies resident in Pakistan. Participating teams include Brazil United, Germany, Saudi Arabia, Kazakhstan, Europe and Arab.
Ms. Agnes Pompos the Head of Missions’ Relations & Communications was the chief guest for today’s matches. Brazil United, Germany team and Saudi Arabia won their matches and secured the 3 points in the league.
Ms. Agnes appreciated the efforts of the organizers for promoting football in Pakistan and a healthy and friendly environment to the diplomats in Pakistan. She also admired the enthusiasm and passion of the players displayed during the matches.
The league is sponsored by Gerry’s as title sponsor, along with other sponsors which include Marriot Hotel, Diplomatic Auto Service, Total Football and Olympic sports. Brazil United team & Germany Team have been the top performers, scoring 10 points each.
