KARACHI: A ceremony was held in Karachi to mark the 80th Republic Day of Italy, highlighting the strong and growing ties between Pakistan and Italy.
The event was hosted by Italian Consul General Fabrizio Bielli at a leading hotel in Karachi and was attended by prominent government officials, diplomats, and members of civil society.
Among the notable guests were the Governor of Sindh, the Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah, the Provincial Health Minister Dr Azra Pechuho, and the Chief Secretary Sindh Asif Haider Shah.
Speaking at the event, Consul General Fabrizio Bielli expressed satisfaction over the strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries. He emphasized that there are significant opportunities for cooperation in economic, trade, and business sectors, and both nations are committed to further enhancing their partnership.
The ceremony also featured a special exhibition showcasing Italian culture, industry, fashion, and lifestyle. Guests were presented with renowned Italian brands including Ferrari, Fiat Abarth, and Vespa. In addition, high quality Italian furniture, clothing, perfumes, coffee, and gelato were displayed and appreciated by attendees.
The event concluded with a lucky draw, where winners received exclusive gifts from well known Italian brands.
