KP health dept digitizes record of employees

HRMIS also integrated with system of Provincial Public Service Commission and Postgraduate Medical Institute, CM told.

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department has launched a Human Resource Management and Information System (HRMIS) to digitize the record of all its employees across the province.

Besides, verifiable e-posting/transfer/appoint/leave orders have also been introduced under the HRMIS that has been integrated with the system of Provincial Public Service Commission and Postgraduate Medical Institute. Moreover, the department has issued necessary directives to all its subordinate bodies to implement and use the new system.

This information was presented to caretaker Chief Minister Azam Khan at a briefing here. It was informed that the department had a total human resource of about 90,000 employees and due to unavailability of digital record the department faced various challenges with regard to policy decision and other human resource related matters adding that the need for a verifiable digital record of the employees was being felt for a long time.

The chief minister was told that the IT team of the health department had been able to develop the HRMIS without incurring a single penny from the government exchequer.

The chief minister termed the launching of HRMIS a good initiative for further streamlining the HR related matters of the department, ensuring transparency and enhancing efficiency in the department. He lauded the efforts of adviser on health and his entire team for successfully introducing the HRMIS, and said the system will definitely improve the overall performance of the department.

The briefing was attended by Adviser on Health Dr. Riaz Anwar, Chief Secretary Nadeem Aslam Chaudhry, Secretary Health Mahmood Aslam and others.
