Pakistan, UK to enhance cultural exchange programmes
Minister says second phase of CPEC cultural caravan would be organized and all Central Asian states would be invited to be part of it.
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and United Kingdom have agreed to enhance their cooperation in cultural exchanges and continue working on strengthening cultural ties.
The resolve was made at a meeting between Minister for National Heritage and Culture Jamal Shah and British parliamentarian Afzal Khan in Islamabad on Friday.
Shah underlined the need for collaboration in various artistic fields to further strengthen the robust people-to-people bonds between the two nations
Art and culture are the real face and introduction to any nation and great nations always honour, value, preserve, promote and strengthen their art and culture. He said the second phase of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) cultural caravan would be organized and all the Central Asian States would be specially invited to be part of it.
The British MP agreed to pursue the cause to enhance cooperation in cultural exchanges and continue work on strengthening cultural ties. He praised Pakistan’s archeological sites and said that civilizations are like rivers which are inter-connected.
