ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has extended warm congratulations to the government and people of Sweden on the occasion of their National Day.
He reaffirmed that Pakistan places great importance on its long-standing relationship with Sweden.
In an official statement, the president highlighted that diplomatic relations between the two countries, established in 1949, are built on mutual respect, shared values, and a common commitment to international peace and cooperation.
He expressed satisfaction over the steady progress in bilateral relations, noting increased collaboration in key sectors such as renewable energy, technology, telecommunications, textiles, and agriculture.
He also emphasized that there is significant potential to further expand trade and economic ties between the two nations.
President Zardari reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening and broadening these mutually beneficial relations in the coming years, aiming for deeper cooperation and partnership across multiple sectors.
