ISLAMABAD: On the eve of World Orphans Day, Pakistan Baitul Maal (PBM) and Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TiKA) organized an Iftar dinner for the 100 orphan children of PBM Sweet Home.
Country Head TiKA Muhsin Balci, PBM officials and other team members presented gifts to the orphan children.
TiKa, while appreciating PBM’s initiative for caring the poor and orphan children, reaffirmed his commitment for the collaborative efforts with PBM to protect the rights of orphan children.
He also marked the day to create awareness among the individuals and communities for their effective participation in uplifting the lives of the poor and orphan children.
The 15th of Ramazan is marked as Orphan Day in the Islamic World, as declared by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
This day is observed to raise awareness and foster a sense of responsibility within society towards orphans, emphasizing the urgent need for intensive efforts to meet their needs and safeguard their well-being.
