We will remove grief prevalent in Balochistan, says Zardari

We tried this in the past but it was not enough and now we will do it.

QUETTA: Former president Asif Ali Zardari on Thursday said that we tried to remove deprivation and grief prevalent in Balochistan but it was not enough but will succeed in our mission after forming a government after the forthcoming elections.

He was addressing a public gathering here in connection with the founding day of the PPP along with his son and party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

The senior Zardari said that Balochistan is the heart of Pakistan and rich in mineral resources, without winning the hear no government can bring any change in the backward province.

He claimed that he has plans to develop the country on a fast track basis and bring Balochistan at a par with developed areas of Pakistan.

In an apparent slip of the tongue he said, “My son, by becoming the youngest prime minister of Pakistan, raised Pakistan’s honour and flag.” During the previous tenure of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) government, Bilawal had served as the foreign minister, the youngest ever to do so.

Speaking on the occasion, Bilawal said that those planning to abolish 18th amendment were trying to rob the rights and resources of provinces. He said the PML-N was responsible for inflation and should be called Mehengai League.

He said no cricketer can become the leader of the youth and he would lead the youth, adding he would introduce youth cards for them after coming to power.
