KARACHI: A White Coat march was held in Karachi against Israeli terrorism in Gaza and to express solidarity with the Palestinian people and doctors.

A large number of people, including doctors, took part in the rally held on Stadium Road near the Aga Khan Hospital and Liaquat National Hospital.

The rally was also attended by Sindh caretaker health minister Syed Meraj, Jamaat-e-Islami deputy chief Merajul Huda, along with doctors and paramedical staff.

The participants were carrying placards and banners and chanting slogans condemning the Israeli barbarism and bombing on of hospitals and refugee camps.

Over 20,000 people, including children and hospitalized patients, have been killed in the air strikes being carried out by the Zionist state since October 7.

The protesters also condemned the backers of the Zionist state and called upon the international community to force Israel on an immediate ceasefire to save the people of Palestine from extermination.

Speaking on the occasion, the caretaker health minister said that the Israeli aggression and terrorism in Palestine was a humanitarian issue and the bombing of hospitals and ambulances has unmasked the real face of the western powers that always claimed to be champions of democracy and human rights.
