From Vision to Reality
Mustajab Nazir Dhoki
When a groundbreaking leader sets out to revolutionize a nation’s trajectory, the public, press, and society as a whole unite to applaud and support their bold initiatives. A visionary leader consistently prioritizes the welfare of his citizens, making concerted efforts to transform his province into an advanced state, a prosperous region. The Government of Sindh has executed a number of policies to overcome and manage some of the major issues from Sindh. Sadly, the media neglects to acknowledge the Government’s efforts, ignoring their notable achievements.
Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is working tirelessly, day and night, to transform Sindh into a thriving, self-sufficient metropolis, just like his grandfather, Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, and his parents Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and President Asif Ali Zardari.
For any nation and its improvement, governments face numerous challenges in their efforts including inadequate resources, jumping through hoops, and conflicting priorities. The complexity of addressing deep-seated issues like poverty, inequality, and social injustice can be overwhelming. Additionally, governments try to balance the needs of diverse populations, manage public expectations, and make difficult decisions. Also, external factors like global economic trends, climate change, and geopolitical tensions can impact to implement effective policies and drive meaningful change.
People struggle for money. They go through all the phases in life to earn a good income which can support his health, food, shelter and cloth. But still some people can’t get a proper job to receive a good income. Back in 2008, the Pakistan Peoples Party launched BISP, Benazir Income Support Program, which provided financial support to low income families and women who were needy. Still, this program provide a good amount to the needy person. In January 2025, the BISP increased the amount from 10,500 to 13,500.
The Thar Coal Project is a signature project in Pakistan’s energy sector, aimed at harnessing the vast coal reserves in the Thar Desert, Sindh. With estimated reserves of 175 billion tons, the project promises to transform Pakistan’s energy landscape by decreasing to rely on imported fuel and minimizing the energy crisis. The project involves the development of open-pit coal mines and the construction of power plants, with the Engro Thar Coal Power Project, which is already generating 660 megawatts of electricity. It is a vital component of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), and is poised to stimulate economic growth, job facilities, and ensure energy security for Pakistan’s future generations.
If we look at the past, when Pakistan was under dictatorship, Karachi, the largest city of Pakistan, was declared an unsafe city, despite being a metropolitan where a huge number of people move there to pursue a good career and balanced lifestyle, people were murdered brutally, the roads were dangerous to the public, kidnapping was common, human trafficking, mugging and street crimes were a regular thing in the city. Whereas, now under the leadership of PPP, Karachi has become a secure community. For years, the Sindh Government has made strenuous efforts to make this city an easy to live.
The Sindh Government is concentrating on the modernization of roads and transportation to facilitate effortless travel and stimulate economic expansion. Clearly, a city’s progress is evaluated by the development of roads and what amenities are provided along the road. During my last visit to Karachi in February 2024, after a decade, I was astonished by the city’s transformation and the Sindh Government’s efforts to revamp its infrastructure, it was just mind blowing.
A woman is the strong hold of the society. She is capable of multitasks. From taking care of home, serving the family, giving birth to stepping outside for earning. Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto was the first Muslim woman leader in the world, she earned respect and fame globally not just for being the daughter of the greatest leader of all time, Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto but for also being the most intelligent, kind and down to earth politician. She introduced the women’s police system, and many other fields in which women were capable of showing their skills.
Now, Sindh Government has introduced the women-only transportation services like Pink Bus service, staffed by females, to promote gender equality & improve safety. PPP has always advocated for working women. Sindh is progressing quite well enough.
People demand a good pay and better allowances. Whenever Pakistan People Party is elected by the people of Pakistan, the party has increased the salaries, providing better facilities so that the people can go evenly with the change in economy. From the beginning Pakistan Peoples Party is always with the hardworking labourers. When Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was serving as the youngest Foreign Minister of Pakistan, he saw the records of the workers and he was genuinely sad that the governments never increased the facilities of the workers after 2011, when Pakistan Peoples Party was serving as the federal government.
We always praise the healthcare system of Canada, Europe, and the Middle East. A healthcare system is the pillar of a strong society. Sindh Government is working hard in the medical field & established the well known hospitals such as GIMS and NCVID, to provide top-notch healthcare services.
My father was shifted to GIMS from Islamabad as he was suffering from the last stage of Cancer & he received good care & treatment. His personal doctor was well educated from Germany, & literally the facilities were impressive. He was under the care of the staff 24/7.
Polio is still a concern in Pakistan. For years, the Polio team in Pakistan has struggled hard to decrease the cases of polio. It’s the 21st century and still some people believe that polio is a reason for infertility and it contains prohibited particles. For years, the Pakistan Peoples Party has consistently advocated for the polio campaign, from Shaheed Bhutto to his granddaughter Bibi Aseefa Bhutto. They are doing their utmost to eradicate this deadly virus from the country.
An educated country is better above all. There is a huge difference between an educated and uneducated person, their behaviour, social interaction, the way they see the world that is totally different. An educated nation is capable of independent thought.
I belong to Pir Jo Goth, a small town near Khairpur, where almost everyone knows each other. There was a time when the education among women in our village was rare. But now with the time and thanks to the Sindh Government, public schools are established, where a number of girls are getting a better education.
Sindh Government. has enhanced educational institutions and introduced specialized centre for autistic children to foster inclusive learning. The Sindh Education Foundation is increasing the access to quality education, especially in remote areas.
While serving as the state government, the Pakistan Peoples Party, is giving its best to the nation. In a few years the Sindh has gained a significant image worldwide. When Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari assumes the office of Prime Minister, he’s likely to bring about transformative changes to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Carrying on the legacy of Bhutto, he will shape the future of Pakistan in a democratic way.
