Billions of dollars worth of gold have been discovered in Sogut, city of Ertugrul Ghazi

Billions of dollars worth of gold have been discovered in the Turkish city of Sogat in Ertugrul Ghazi. Sogat is the city from which the tribe of the founder of the Ottoman Caliphate founded the state.

The head of Turkey’s agricultural sector and credit corporates, Fahratin Poiraz, has confirmed that about 100 tonnes of gold have been discovered in the central western Turkish region of Sogat. The amount of gold is estimated at 3.5 million ounces, or 99 tonnes. The value is over 6 billion. In the next two years, the gold from these deposits will begin to become part of the Turkish economy.

Ertugrul Ghazi, the father of Ottoman I, the founder of the Ottoman Caliphate, founded the state by organizing a branch of the Kai tribe in the Sogat region of present-day Belize Province, Turkey.
