PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakthunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur on Sunday night entered the provincial assembly hall all of a sudden and started addressing the house amid chants by members.
Gandapur had disappeared from Khyber Pakthunkhwa House in Islamabad moments after reaching D Chowk leading his supporters to hold a protest.
Though the PTI had claimed that he was arrested, the government denied and said he was neither picked by police nor any intelligence agency. He said he pays tribute to the people of Pakistan for standing by Imran Khan.
Addressing the house, he said he had been told to reach D Chowk and the police stormed the KP House and started shelling. He said if he was to be arrested, did the IG Islamabad inform him.
He said that he was there all the night. He said the IGP should be called to the KP house and he should apologize on the floor of the house.
He said under a conspiracy the KP House was stormed and shelled, adding look at the performance of the Islamabad police. “I was there but they could not find me,” he claimed.
He also said that if the IGP Islamabad wants to arrest him, “come I am standing here and arrest me.”
