ISLAMABAD: Chief Minister Khyber Pakthunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur met Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif here on Wednesday after taking charge in his province.
Talking to media after the meeting along with Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal and others, the PTI chief minister said his meeting with Mr Sharif remained positive. He said the prime minister accepted all his demands and promised cooperation.
According to the Prime Minister office, the KP chief minister briefed the prime minister about issues of his province.
The prime minister informed the chief minister about economic issues being faced by the country but assured of the federal government’s cooperation with the KP government, adding the dues of the province would be cleared.
Gandapur said he also took up the issue of a ban on meeting with jailed former prime minister Imran Khan and told him that he has to consult with Mr Khan about the forthcoming Senate election.
The chief minister said that the prime minister assured him that his meeting with Imran Khan would soon be arranged in the jail.
Ahsan Iqbal on the occasion welcomed the meeting of the chief minister with the prime minister and said both the federal and the KP governments would work in coordination for the welfare of the masses.
