ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Saturday expressed satisfaction over arrangements made for the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation’s summit
The prime minister visited the venue of the summit at the Islamabad Convention Center and reviewed the arrangements. He was briefed about the measures for the security of the delegates and other arrangements.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar and officials were present on the occasion.
Heads of state and government of over 10 countries, including the prime ministers of China and Russia and the foreign minister of India, are expected to attend the summit. They will be arriving in Islamabad on October 14.
Besides security and other arrangements, beautification work has been done in Islamabad especially around the Convention Center and the Islamabad Highway.
Moreover, army has been deployed in the capital along with other law enforcement agencies to endure security.
