Ban on functions in marriage halls, IHC ratify NCOC decision

Islamabad High Court (IHC) in an eight-page of its verdict said that the court cannot interfere in National Command and Operation Center’s (NCOC) decisions, however, the decision of NCOC is of public interest, which should be implemented.

The decision of the court said that the petition was disposed of due to non-interference in executive matters. Negligence in the implementation of Corona SOPs will result in legal action, and civil and criminal cases, the court verdict said.

IHC said that due to the large number of inmates in the jails, there is a danger of the spread of corona.

The court said there are many undertrial prisoners in the jails who are later proved to be innocent. “It is expected that National Committee will take steps to save the lives of prisoners, the court said.
