Three grounded aircraft and some fuel bowsers damaged in the attack, says statement.

RAWALPINDI: At least nine terrorists were killed when they tried to attack a training airbase of Pakistan Air Force in Mianwali early on Saturday, the military’s media wing stated.

The Inter-Services Public Relations added that the terrorists tried to attack the PAF facility early in the morning but the brave security forces eliminated them before they could achieve their target.

“On Nov 4, 2023, in the early hours of the day, Mianwali Training Air Base of Pakistan Air Force came under a failed terrorist attack which, Alhumdollilah, due to the swift and effective response by the troops, has been foiled and thwarted, ensuring the safety and security of personnel and assets.”

It said three aircraft already grounded at the base along with some fuel bowsers were damaged in the attack.

It may be mentioned that on November 3, terrorists targeted a convoy of the army going to Ormara from Pasni in Balochistan and MN martyred 14 army men.

Terrorists attacks on the army have increased in Balochistan and Khyber Pakthunkhwa provinces after Taliban takeover of Kabul Afghanistan in 2021.
