US threatens head money for Afghanistan’s Taliban leaders

WASHINGTON: The new Donald Trump  administration has threatened to fix head money for Taliban leaders for imprisoning American citizens and their blatant human rights violations in Afghanistan.

The US administration expressed anger over the imprisonment of American citizens in Afghanistan.

Foreign Minister Marco Rubio said the number of Americans imprisoned in Afghanistan is feared to be much higher than previous estimates. If true, we will have to put a very high amount of head money on the Taliban’s top leadership.”

The head money will be more than the money placed on Osama bin Laden, he added.

It may be noted that the Biden administration had exchanged prisoners with Afghanistan a few days before Trump took over.
