Azeri airline’s direct flight from Baku due today

15 passengers will travel to Lahore and on return the plane will carry 80 passengers.

ISLAMABAD: As part of its earlier announcement, Azal, the national airline of Azerbaijan is launching direct flight to Pakistan today.

According to a schedule of the airline, the first direct flight will land at Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore from Baku tonight.

Officials say that 15 passengers will travel from Baku to Lahore while on the return flight the plane will carry 80 passengers to Baku. 

Earlier, passengers travelling between Pakistan and the Central Asian country used a long detour via Dubai to reach their destinations. 

The direct flights will help the people of the two countries, especially businessmen, to visit both countries with ease.
