QUETTA: Several people were reported injured in a bomb blast in the bazar of Qila Saifullah on Thursday, police and district administration officials said.
They said that the bomb was placed in a motorcycle parked in the bazar that exploded on Thursday afternoon.
Panic gripped the area with people running for safety and the markets were closed.
Rescue and police officials reached the spot and shifted the injured to hospital. As a result of the explosion, many shops and vehicles were also damaged.
The police and other law enforcement agencies closed the highway between Quetta and Zhob that passes through the area.
