BEIJING: China has reiterated its firm support for Pakistan in the ongoing fight against terrorism, vowing to continue close cooperation to ensure regional peace and stability.
Addressing a press briefing, the spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the recent terrorist incidents in Pakistan. The spokesperson said China opposes terrorism in all its forms and stands with Pakistan in its efforts to eradicate extremist violence.
Offering condolences to the families of those who lost their lives, the Chinese official expressed deep sympathy and solidarity with the people of Pakistan. He noted that China would continue to assist Islamabad in strengthening its counterterrorism capabilities.
The spokesperson further emphasized that both Pakistan and Afghanistan are China’s close neighbors, and maintaining constructive communication with them is crucial for the peace and development of the region.
He reaffirmed that China’s cooperation with Pakistan against terrorism will remain steadfast as part of its broader commitment to regional stability.
