Five terrorists killed in joint operation by LEAs

PESHAWAR: At least five terrorists were killed in a joint operation by Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) and police in Karak district of Khyber Pakthunkhwa, police officials said here on Monday.

They said that law enforcement agencies (LEAs), including police and CTD, conducted a joint operation in Mir Kalam Banda area of Karak in the basis of intelligence reports. The operation was carried out in the early morning on the information about the presence of terrorists there.

Police officials said that during the operation five terrorists were killed while no one from the CTD and police was killed or injured

According to officials, the bodies of the slain terrorists have been shifted to DHQ hospital for identification and tracing their accomplices and facilitators.
