ISLAMABAD: As soon as the Pakistan Air Force “brought down” the Indian Rafale (i.e., parked it directly into the ground), a flood of memes took over Pakistani social media, and Chinese friends boarded the laughter jet to join the party!
According to reports from Beijing, Chinese influencers were seen wearing turbans styled like Indian ones, with miniature Rafale planes attached on top. In a viral video, they can be seen joyfully singing: “Rafale came to fly, but Pakistan made it lie!”
One Chinese influencer commented: “We heard Rafale is super fast – didn’t know it was in such a hurry to crash-land!”
Pakistani social media was also in celebration mode. One user wrote: “Rafale cost: 900 billion. Crash landing: absolutely free!”
Meanwhile, India’s Ministry of Defence said the Rafale was “just out for a joyride and lost its way,” while Indian news channels insist the crash was part of a “training maneuver” and “completely intentional.”
On the other hand, Pakistani citizens have now suggested that India should consider switching to paper planes – at least those come back to your hand after throwing.
