Making Pulwama victory controversial is not acceptable: DG ISPR

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Army spokesman Major General Babar Iftikhar has said that an attempt was made to distort the historical facts in a misleading statement issued yesterday. Making the Pulwama victory controversial is by no means acceptable.

During a brief press conference in Rawalpindi, Maj. Gen. Babar Iftikhar, DG, Public Relations (ISPR), Armed Forces, said that today’s press conference has a one-point agenda.

Continuing, the DG ISPR said that Pakistan not only retaliated against India in broad daylight on the Pulwama incident, but also shot down two of its warplanes. Unfortunately, he shot down his own helicopter.

Maj. Gen. Babar Iftikhar said that Allah Almighty served the Pakistani nation and the Armed Forces and India kept throwing the wreckage of its defeat on the unavailability of Rafale aircraft. In order to give another chance to peace, the captured wing commander of India has just decided to release Nandan.

The DG ISPR said that it is misleading to link Nandan’s release with anything else. Pakistan’s desire for victory and peace has been appreciated all over the world. Binding, the Pakistan Armed Forces are aware of the internal and external situation and are ready to thwart any conspiracy.

“Unfortunately, such an irresponsible statement was made by a political leader yesterday which I think was an attempt to make Pakistan’s victory controversial by distorting the historical facts after the Pulwama incident,” Maj. Gen. Babar Iftikhar said.

The DG ISPR said that the negative statement has a direct impact on national security, the same statement is being used to reduce the defeat and defeat of India, hybrid war has been imposed responsibility on all We have to move forward with the Armed Forces of Pakistan keeping an eye on the whole situation and ready to overcome all kinds of challenges.

It may be recalled that PML-N leader Sardar Ayaz Sadiq had said that just after Nandan’s arrest, Prime Minister Imran Khan had sent Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi to a meeting of parliamentary leaders and sent a message to release the Indian pilot. Ayaz Sadiq said that Shah Mehmood Qureshi was sweating and he said that if Nandan was not released then India would attack Pakistan at 9 pm.
