BAKU: Pakistan and Georgia have agreed to further strengthen their bilateral relations and explore new avenues of cooperation, particularly in the areas of trade, education, culture, and parliamentary engagement.
The understanding was reached during a meeting between Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani and Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, Nino Tsilosani, held on the sidelines of the International Parliamentary Conference in Baku.
During the meeting, Mr. Gilani reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to deepening friendly ties with Georgia and underscored the importance of parliamentary diplomacy in promoting mutual understanding and cooperation.
Both sides discussed ways to enhance inter-parliamentary collaboration and expand people-to-people contacts, expressing the resolve to build on the existing foundation of friendship and partnership between the two countries.
