Pakistan has reported 39 more deaths and 930 new coronavirus cases

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has reported 39 more deaths and 930 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) Pakistan has reported 39 more deaths by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 950,768. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 22,073 on Wednesday.

NCOC official said that Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths and cases followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Till now 10,672 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 5,358 in Sindh, 4,280 in KP, 775 in Islamabad, 574 in Azad Kashmir, 303 in Balochistan, and 111 in GB.

Furthermore 345,251 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Punjab, 333,194 in Sindh, 137,247 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 82,431 in Islamabad, 26,776 in Balochistan, 20,019 in Azad Kashmir and 5,850 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Pakistan has so far conducted 14,232,960 coronavirus tests and 45,519 in the last 24 hours. 895,690 patients have recovered in the country whereas 2,173 patients are in critical condition.
