Pakistan wins Test match on home ground after 44 months

MULTAN: After 44 months, Pakistan at last won a Test match on home ground by defeating England in Multan.

The cricket team had won none of the 11 Test matches played on hone ground in the last about four years.

In the year 2022, Pakistan played three Test matches against Australia and two of the matches ended in a draw and the final match at Lahore was won by the visiting team by 11 runs.

The same year, Pakistan cricket team lost all the three Test matches against England. In 2022, all the Test matches between Pakistan and New Zealand ended in a draw.

Bangladesh defeated Pakistan in two Test matches played in Pakistan in 2024. In the first Test match played at Multan this month, England defeated Pakistan by an innings and 47 runs.

Pakistan at last won the second Test match against England in Multan by 152 runs and levelled the series by 1:1. Pakistan had given a target of 297 runs to the visitors. In reply the English team was all out for 144 runs on the fourth day.
