RIYADH: Saudi Arabia has officially announced the organization of a high-level international conference focused on implementing the two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

The conference will be held on July 28–29, 2025, in New York under the supervision of the United Nations.

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan reaffirmed the Kingdom’s longstanding commitment to establishing lasting peace in the Middle East.

He emphasized that the conference aims to pave the way for the implementation of international resolutions and to enhance peace and stability across the region.

Despite its global significance, the conference faces a major setback as the United States and Israel have announced their decision to boycott the event. This move raises concerns about increased diplomatic tensions and diminished prospects for consensus at the international forum.

Meanwhile, Pakistan has welcomed the initiative and reiterated its unwavering support for the Palestinian people. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a phone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, during which both sides discussed the severe humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

Dar called for uninterrupted humanitarian aid to Gaza and expressed hope that the upcoming conference in New York would produce meaningful outcomes.

Both leaders also discussed a proposed high-level Iranian visit to Pakistan in the near future.
