UAE interested in investing in mining & minerals:  President Nahyan

At meeting with PM Shehbz, renews commitment to enhancing bilateral economic, political and cultural ties.

RAHIM YAR KHAN: The United Arab Emirates has shown keen interest in collaborating with Pakistan in the mining, minerals, and agriculture sectors.

United Arab Emirates (UAE) President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Sunday said that his country was interested in working with Pakistan in different sectors, especially mining, minerals and agriculture.

He stated this at a meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif here on Sunday. The UAE president also expressed the desire to boost partnership with Pakistan and enhance people-to-people connections.

He also expressed his admiration over Pakistan’s handling of its economy which had stabilized and was moving in the right direction under the leadership of Prime Sharif.

Both the UAE president and the prime minister of Pakistan resolved their commitment to enhancing bilateral economic, political and cultural ties. They discussed a wide range of issues, including economic collaboration, regional stability, climate change, and the promotion of mutual interests on the global stage, according to Radio Pakistan.

Prime Minister Sharif commended the UAE’s “visionary leadership and its significant role as a key partner for Pakistan in development and investment.” He underscored Pakistan’s readiness to expand cooperation in sectors such as renewable energy, technology, trade, infrastructure and skill development.

Both the leaders reaffirmed their dedication to peace and progress in the region, vowing to work closely on matters of mutual interest.

The meeting concluded with a joint resolve to foster greater cooperation, particularly in priority sectors, ensuring a brighter future for both nations.
