Blasphemous sketches: Kuwaiti stores boycott French goods
In response to a boycott of French products in several Middle Eastern countries, counters of French goods have been evacuated from Kuwait’s shopping malls. Can be seen emptying what was previously filled with French goods.
Those who shared the photos wrote that the boycott of French goods was being carried out because of the blasphemous images. The social networking sites ‘Boycott French Products’ and ‘Boycott France’ are currently trending.
The boycott campaign was launched in France against the publication of sketches of the Prophet of Islam in the magazine Charlie Hebdo and the forced closure of a mosque.
The Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) also condemned the hanging of sketches of the Prophet of Islam on some buildings in France and said that it condemned the repeated attacks on the feelings of Muslims.
