CM Maryam inaugurates ‘Clinics on Wheels Project’ in Punjab

200 clinics on wheels will provide healthcare facility to four million people in province.

LAHORE: The Punjab government has launched a ‘Clinics on Wheels Project’ under which 200 clinics on wheels will provide healthcare facility to four million people in the province.

Addressing a ceremony organized to inaugurate the project, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said these clinics will be working in densely-populated areas of major cities where residents often face challenges in accessing hospital care. She said the provincial government was taking health facilities to the doorsteps of the people.

The chief minister on the occasion announced to provide state of the art cardiology facilities in Mianwali, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Jhelum, Sahiwal, Murree and Layyah.

She said that due to lack of hospitals people were facing hardship in getting access to medical care and the project to launch the clinics on wheels was aimed to make basic healthcare facilities at the doorsteps of the masses.
