GB Chief Election Commissioner blames Bilawal Bhutto for violating election rules and regulations

ISLAMABAD: Chief Election Commissioner of Gilgit-Baltistan Raja Shahbaz Khan has said in a press conference in Islamabad on Wednesday that this time there will be no interference of the army in the elections, while there will be clean and transparent elections in GB.

He said, Police, Rangers, and FC personnel will only provide security during the election.

CEC of Gilgit-Baltistan Raja Shahbaz Khan said that Bilawal Bhutto has violated election rules and regulations on which notices have been issued, however, 35 of these notices have been issued to PPP, 23 to PTI and 12 to PML-N.

The Chief Election Commissioner GB said that the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan had come at the invitation of the Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan. The Prime Minister laid flowers on the graves of the martyrs and left.

Furthermore, he said, allegations of rigging in GB polls are baseless. While, I am present in Islamabad, and I should be told where the rigging is taking place, he added.

Raja Shahbaz said the parties alleging rigging should meet me.
