PTI-backed independents join Sunni Ittehad Council

Independent candidates backed by PTI won 180 seats, says Gohar Ali Khan.

ISLAMABAD: PTI has announced that all its members of national and provincial assemblies have joined the Sunni Ittehad Council.

The announcement was made by PTI leaders who held a press conference in Islamabad along with leaders of Sunni Ittehad Council and Majli Wahdatul Muslimeen. The decision was made in order to get the reserved seats in the assemblies.

The PTI said that the PTI backed candidates will join in the National Assembly, Punjab and Khyber Pakthunkhwa assemblies. 

At the presser, PTI leader Gohar Ali Khan said that independent candidates backed by the PTI won 180 seats. Our members will join the Sunni Ittehad Council in the assemblies. He said that the election commission should allocate the reserved seats in accordance with the law.

Speaking on the occasion, Omar Ayub Khan said that the MQM robbed the PTI of its eight to 10 seats in Karachi. He said the PTI was also deprived of its victory in other areas of the country.
