ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court of Pakistan has granted bail to Mir Shakil Ur Rehman, Editor-in-Chief of Jang and Geo group of media on Monday in an allegedly “illegal” 34 year old property case.
The bail granted against Rs 10 million surety bonds to Shakil Ur Rehman. However, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) arrested Mir Shakil on March 12, in an alleged illegal 54-plots alloted to him in tenure of then Punjab Chief Minister Nawaz Sharif.
Earlier, the bail petition of Mir Shakil was denied by Lahore High Court, so, his counsel registered the petition in Supreme Court.
