Victorian HC ask well-being of Pak community in a video-conference

SYDNEY: A Victorian High Commissioner Babar Amin hold a video conference on Friday with Pakistani community in view of the recent resurgence of corona virus cases in the Australian state.

Babar Amin enquired about the well-being of the Pakistani community and exchanged views on efforts being made for them in the video-conference.

Moreover, he lauded the efforts of the community for being at the forefront of the relief effort as always. He further commended the community member for abiding with various social and working restrictions in these difficult times.

The High Commissioner emphasized that the Government of Pakistan was committed to go all out in support of the Pakistani diaspora affected by this unprecedented pandemic. He stated that the Pakistan High Commission in Canberra and the two Consulates in Melbourne and Sydney were actively engaged with the community and available to assist them. The Missions were also in contact with the local authorities for this purpose. Our student’s community were the special focus of these efforts, he added.

The Pakistani Community members also appreciated the efforts of the Pakistani High Commission and the Consulates. They vowed to continue reaching out to those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The attendees also shared details of the work being done by them in the relief efforts.
