RAWALPINDI: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has seized more than 37 kilograms of drugs worth over Rs 29.7 million in various anti-smuggling operations across the country. Three suspects, including a woman, have been arrested.
According to an ANF spokesperson, separate operations were carried out in several cities as part of an ongoing crackdown against drug trafficking.
In Karachi, ANF recovered 8 kilograms of crystal meth (Ice) hidden in clothes inside a parcel meant to be sent to New Zealand from a courier office on Shahrah-e-Faisal.
In another operation at the same location, 2.6 kilograms of heroin concealed inside face masks in a parcel bound for London was seized.
Also in Karachi, in the Clifton area, 400 grams of Ice hidden inside a water cooler were recovered, and two suspects were arrested.
On the Kohat–Bannu Road near Pindi Pul, a woman was caught carrying 6 kilograms of hashish (charas).
In District Kech (Chosak), 20 kilograms of heroin were found hidden in bushes.
All cases have been registered under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act, 1997, and investigations are now underway.
