PESHAWAR: At least eight people, including four children, lost their lives in rain-related incidents in different parts of Khyber Pakthunkhwa on Saturday.
According to Rescue 1122, roofs of houses collapsed in Peshawar, Bajaur, Nowshera, Bannu and Shangla in which many lives were lost. Moreover, walls of mud houses caved in in other parts of the province.
The Provincial Disaster Management Authority said three children died in Shangla and one adult and a child lost their lives in Bajaur.
Besides, two people died and a girl was injured after a roof collapsed in Banda China village of Alpuri, Shangla.
Heavy rain and hailstorm lashed the province for hours, while the Met Office said the wet spell would continue for a few days with intervals.
In the first week of March, nine people were killed and iver a dozen injured when heavy rain and snowfall hit the province.
