PM, UAE president discuss cooperation in different sectors

ABU DHABI: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held a meeting here and discussed bilateral cooperation in different sectors.

Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir was also present at the meeting. During the meeting, the development of cooperation between Pakistan and the UAE was discussed.

Discussions were also held on the economic and trade relations between the two countries.

According to a UAE government statement, regional and global situation was also discussed during the meeting, especially the latest developments in the Middle East.

The two leaders underscored the need to intensify international efforts for a comprehensive and lasting peace in the Middle East based on the two-state solution to the Palestinian issue.

It may be recalled that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif is on a visit to the United Arab Emirates to attend the World Governments Summit 2025 in Dubai.

The meeting provided an opportunity to address the significance of the World Governments Summit in identifying global trends in governance and presenting actionable strategies to enhance government preparedness in navigating global transformations.

The discussions underscored the importance of leveraging these shifts to accelerate development and build a better future for all.
