Says APNA's contributions to Pakistan's education, healthcare and social development are unmatched.

WASHINGTON: APPNA is a resilient bridge between Pakistan and the U.S. and has always stood by Pakistan in difficult times, said Masood Khan, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States.

On the occasion of 46th annual summer convention of Association of Physicians of Pakistani Descent of North America (APPNA) being held in Dallas Texas, Ambassador Khan, in a series of tweets, felicitated the organization for its ‘spectacular’ achievements spanning over decades.

APPNA is the largest medical association in the United States comprising thousands of Pakistani physicians who have been serving the people of the United States for past over four decades.

Besides, the organization has been making valuable contributions in health, education and social development in Pakistan.

Felicitating APPNA’s leadership including President Dr. Arshad Rehan, past presidents and members of the organization on the occasion, Masood Khan paid a glowing tribute to APPNA for its services to the humanity.

“APPNA’s contributions to Pakistan’s education, healthcare and social development are unmatched,” said the ambassador.

“We cherish and celebrate your performance and achievements,” he said.

Throughout the adversity of pandemic and amidst the relief operations during the floods, APPNA has consistently been at the forefronts.

The organization has steadfastly helped its fellow countrymen in times of need, demonstrating unwavering commitment to service.

“People of Pakistan will never forget your timely and effective mobilization of support for flood response and Covid-19 management,” he added.

The six-day long annual convention serves as an effective platform for service providers, professionals and diaspora. Besides being a venue for sharing knowledge and expertise in diverse fields, it fosters meaningful interaction and connections among participants.
