The petition stating that a case should be register against Cynthia as she had made baseless allegations against former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.

On Saturday, during hearing the defendant’s lawyers had asked the court to not file a case against Ritchie. While FIA and Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) had also requested the court to dismiss the petition against her, according to media reports.

As per Media reports, FIA had told the court that the agency could not lodge a case against US blogger as nor the petitioner was target victim neither guardian of the victim. Contrarily, petitioner’s counsel argued that PPP was the aggrieved party due to the nature of tweets by Ritchie.
