KARACHI: Leaked documents have showed that foreigners, including Pakistanis, have properties worth 400 billion dollars in Dubai.
According to reports, leaked data included more than 23,000 properties listed as belonging to Pakistani nationals up to the spring of 2022.
The Pakistanis, including politicians, former bureaucrats and others, have properties worth 11 billion dollars in Dubai. In the list of foreigners who purchased properties in Dubai the Pakistanis were the second richest owners.
The Pakistani owners of properties in Dubai included Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari, Aseefa Bhutto Zardari; MNA Ikhtiar Baig; son of PML-N president Nawaz Sharif, Hussain Nawaz; son of retired General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Saad Siddique Bajwa; Senator Faisal Vawda, Sardar Sanaullah Zehri, Akhtar Mengal and PML-N MNA Ehsanul Haq Bajwa, wife of interior minister Mohsin Naqvi, PPP Sindh leader Sharjeel Memon and his family, Farah Gogi, Sher Afzal Marwat, four MNAs and six MPAs from Sindh and Balochistan.
The property owners also include former president Pervez Musharraf, ex-prime minister Shaukat Aziz and about a dozen of army general, an ambassador and a scientist.
